Brian Raitz
Having contracted COVID-19, Brain Raitz spent nearly a month in the hospital. After being admitted to St. Anthony Hospital, Brian was intubated and placed on a ventilator. Unable to be liberated from the ventilator, Brian eventually required a tracheostomy.
Complicating matters, Brian developed MRSA ventilator-associated pneumonia, requiring an IV antibiotic treatment. To advance his recovery, Brian transferred to Vibra Hospital of Denver.
At Vibra, Brian could complete his antibiotic course while weaning from the ventilator. Shortly after his arrival, Brian could breathe without the assistance of the ventilator. A few short weeks later, his PEG tube and trach were removed, and he resumed a regular diet.
Less than a month after transferring to Vibra, Brian discharged to continue his recovery at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital to regain more strength before returning home.
Thank you, Brian, for allowing us to take care of you! We wish you nothing but the best!
